Work Club, a London-based creative agency have launched the idea of Start Cap, a digitally enabled bottle top that starts music, lights, and even a cannon as soon as the bottle is opened. Using RFID technology, Start Cap’s inbuilt chip triggers specially built rigs that launch whatever is connected to them. With its check-in function (where opening the bottle checks you in at your location) it carries a great potential for social media campaigns, especially if combined with similar products like Sonic Notify.
The product has been officially launched in Rome to advertise Strongow Gold Cider and is still in its early stages. It’s an interesting digital concept that actively engages consumers and we’re excited to see how the product evolves in later campaigns.
